About these jobs
2 of 6 state pay — see salary data across the whole board. Listings copied from another board say so, and are not verified by us.
Curriculum and content roles are writing and editing rather than teaching: textbook and workbook material, lesson plans and teacher guides, test items, scripts and digital course content. The employers are educational publishers and the academy chains large enough to produce their own materials, and the work is desk-based, sometimes remote, and occasionally offered as a project rather than a post.
What is asked for is usually a writing or editing background alongside some classroom experience — knowing how a lesson actually runs is what separates usable material from correct material. Because a project and a permanent role look similar in an advert, the length of the engagement, whether it is employee or contractor work, and who owns what you produce are worth settling at the outset. Related: teacher training and remote roles.
