About these jobs
0 of 1 state pay — see salary data across the whole board. Listings copied from another board say so, and are not verified by us.
Private tutoring is one-to-one or small-group teaching arranged around a single student's day — usually at their home, sometimes at a study room or online. It is the most flexible corner of the market and the least structured: no institution behind the arrangement, no colleagues, and terms set between you and the family each time.
Two things deserve settling before anything else. The first is eligibility, which is narrower here than for academy work and is not the same question as whether you may teach in Korea at all — establish it with the employer rather than assuming it carries over from another role. The second is the practical frame: how sessions are counted and paid, what happens to a cancelled lesson, and who supplies materials. Openings are irregular and often word-of-mouth, so a thin page here is the normal state. Related: online teaching.
