Do recruiters pay less?
Not in what the adverts state. Across the full-time adverts that give a salary, the median is ₩2,500,000 a month for direct hire (191 adverts, the middle half ₩2,400,000 to ₩2,600,000) and ₩2,500,000 for recruiters (267, ₩2,400,000 to ₩2,600,000). These are the minimums the adverts state, not what anyone was paid.
How do I tell them apart?
Every listing on LucyESL is labelled direct hire or recruiter. On a listing copied from another board the label is LucyESL's reading of how the advert is worded, not a relationship it checked, so ask who will sign your contract and sponsor your visa. The direct-hire listings are one filter away, and the verification standards say how the labels are set.
How does LucyESL count this?
Direct hire is an academy, a public-school programme, a university or an international school hiring for itself; the other side is a recruiter, an agency or a staffing company. Only adverts for an employment contract paid by the month are counted, as on the salary data. A fact is stated when the advert gives it, whatever the answer; pay is the advertised minimum of the full-time adverts that give one, printed from 8 adverts.
