These terms govern your use of the LucyESL job‑board service at lucyesl.com ("the Service"), operated by LucyESL ("we"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

We provide an online platform to post, search, and apply to English‑teaching jobs in Korea. We are not an employer and are not a party to any interview, contract, or hire between a school and an applicant.

2. Accounts (schools & academies)

• Register with accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for the content and legality of the listings you post.

3. Posting rules

• Listings must be accurate and lawful, and must state required fields (such as salary) truthfully.
• No false or misleading content, discriminatory or illegal content, or spammy duplicate posting.
• We may hide or remove inappropriate listings without prior notice.
• Posting a listing directly requires verification of the organisation. We check its business registration and that the person posting works there; a school foundation may send its registration certificate instead. A recruiter also sends its 직업소개사업 registration, and a staffing company its 근로자파견사업 permit or a 직업소개사업 registration.
• An organisation's first listing is reviewed with its verification documents before it goes up. Later listings from a verified school go up at once and are reviewed afterwards. A listing posted after the login address was changed and before the new address is confirmed, and every recruiter's listing, is reviewed before it goes up.
• If you give an address for applications other than your login address, we send that address a confirmation link, and applications go to your login address until the link is pressed.
• The verified badge is granted to organisations we have checked. It confirms who posted the listing and their registration, not the working conditions a listing states, and it is not a guarantee by us.

4. Teacher (applicant) use

Teachers may browse and apply for free. We do not guarantee any job or hire, and we do not warrant the accuracy of listings. Hiring and terms of work are decided solely between the school and the applicant.

5. Fees and payment

This section applies from 1 November 2026. A listing posted before then stays free for the rest of its run.

• Fees are those on the pricing page, including VAT. We invoice in Korean won, take payment by bank transfer, and issue a tax invoice (세금계산서) once payment is confirmed. There is no subscription.
• A listing runs for 45 days. Extending a paid listing uses one listing credit. A school that hires directly may keep one listing up at a time free of charge for each institution, and when it ends the next one is free too. Accounts made with the same business registration number share that one free listing. That stays so: if the free listing is ever withdrawn or charged for, we give 90 days' notice on the pricing page and by email.
• Listing credits can be used for one year from the day they are paid for.
• The recruiter's unlimited 30 days (₩165,000) can be bought only by a verified recruiter or staffing company. For 30 days from payment, listings it posts or extends use no listing credit, and each runs its full 45 days. Bought again while it runs, the next 30 days start the day after the current ones end. If no listing has gone up on it within 7 days of payment we refund it in full; after that, days that have started are not refunded, but if a failure on our side keeps you from posting on any day of it, it is extended by that many days. Listings posted on it follow the posting rules in section 3 and must be for vacancies open now.
• If nothing bought has been used within 7 days of payment, we refund it in full. After that, unused listing credits are refunded: at 100% of the price paid per listing while they are within their year, and at 90% of it once the year has passed, if you ask within five years of payment. Credits from several purchases are used oldest first, and what remains is refunded at the price of the purchase it came from. Top placement that has started is not refunded; if a failure on our side keeps a listing off the top on any day of its placement, the placement is extended by that many days.
• For the founding pack offered in October 2026, an unused listing is refunded at ₩22,000 and 30 days of top placement not yet started at ₩55,000.
• The verification badge and its review are never sold and never depend on a fee.
• Top placement goes on one live listing of a verified organisation, the free listing included, and changes the order of the list and nothing else. It starts on the day you ask for, and the listings in the top section take turns at the top every hour. If the listing closes or its run ends during the placement, the days from the day after it came down are returned to your account; the day it came down counts as shown. Days on the account do not expire, and we place them on another live listing from the day you ask for. The seven days granted when verification is approved are kept on the account if a placement is already running.
• An organisation invoiced by 31 December 2026, up to the first 20, that pays within the invoice's payment period becomes a founding member. Until 31 October 2028 a founding member buys the listings, top placement and the recruiter's unlimited 30 days on the pricing page at today's prices, and a price rise in that time does not apply to it. New services are priced separately. Founding membership cannot be transferred to another organisation, and there is no fee for it. The invoice holds its place until its payment date; after that the place passes to the next organisation. If the payment that made an organisation a founding member is refunded in full, the membership ends with it.
• We give 30 days' notice of any price change, on the pricing page and by email, and never apply one to a listing already posted or to credits already paid for.

6. Limitation of liability

As a platform provider, to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for disputes between schools and applicants, the accuracy of listings, or hiring outcomes.

7. Prohibited conduct

No unauthorized scraping or harvesting, spam, account takeover, or interference with the normal operation of the Service.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; changes take effect when posted on this page with a new effective date.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, with jurisdiction as provided by applicable law.
