About these jobs

91 of 103 state pay — see salary data across the whole board. Listings copied from another board say so, and are not verified by us.

Housing provided means the employer supplies somewhere to live rather than paying an allowance for you to find it yourself. It is usually a furnished studio — a one-room apartment — within reach of the school, sometimes shared, and it is the arrangement most teachers arriving in Korea for the first time start with, because it avoids the large deposit a Korean lease normally asks for.

The word "provided" leaves a lot open, so the questions are about the details: who pays the deposit and in whose name the lease is, whether utilities, internet and the building's maintenance fee are covered, what furniture and appliances come with it, whether it is shared, and how far it is from the school. A listing posted here by the employer can answer some of these among its working terms. Related: jobs paying a housing allowance, kindergarten roles, and direct-hire listings.
