Pay and hours
- Salary
- ₩3,300,000 / month
- This is an employment contract, so Korea's 2026 statutory minimum wage of ₩10,320/hour (₩2,156,880/month on the official 209-hour basis) applies to it. See salary data across all live listings.
- Per hour
- ≈ ₩25,300 per teaching hour
≈ ₩20,500 per on-site hour - Effective pay per hour (base salary only — housing is listed separately and not counted) is how you compare jobs with different schedules. Rates are approximate: the salary as advertised, divided by the hours as advertised. Where the employer gave a ceiling ("up to 40 hours") rather than a typical week, the real rate is the higher one — ask what a normal week actually looks like.
- Teaching hours
- 30 hours a week
- Actual classroom hours. Full-time hagwon roles in Korea typically run 22–30 per week.
- Time on site
- 37 hours a week
- Hours you must be at the workplace, including prep and gaps between classes.
- Split shift
- Not stated
- A morning-and-evening schedule with a long unpaid gap in the middle of the day. Unpaid gaps do not count as working time, so a split shift lengthens the day without raising the pay.
- Weekend work
- Not stated
- Whether Saturday or Sunday classes are part of the normal schedule.
The job
- Students
- Elementary, Adults
- Contract
- Employee · Full-time · length not stated
- An employment contract (근로계약) carries the four national insurances (4대보험), severance pay (퇴직금) and the statutory minimum wage, whether it is full-time or part-time. A standard first contract in Korea is 12 months.
- Visa
- Not stated
Housing and benefits
- Housing
- Not stated
- Severance pay
- Not stated
- Severance (퇴직금) and national pension / health insurance enrollment are legal requirements for full-time employees in Korea. “Not stated” only means the listing doesn’t mention it — ask before you sign. “Not offered” means the listing says no.
- National pension
- Not stated
- Health insurance
- Not stated
- Flight / settlement support
- Not stated
- Paid vacation
- Not stated
- Contract vacation days, separate from Korean public holidays. For context, Korea's Labor Standards Act §60 (근로기준법) — 11 days in the first year (one per full month worked), 15 days from the second, rising by one every two years to 25. Workplaces with fewer than five employees are outside this rule (§11), so ask how many staff the school has.

- Employer type

Ask before you sign
- Is severance pay owed at the end of the contract?
- Is national pension enrolled and contributed to?
- Is health insurance enrolled and contributed to?
- How many paid vacation days, and when can they be taken?
Silence isn’t a denial: it may well be offered, but nobody has written it down. ?
- Working terms
- Not stated: payday, raise on renewal, paid sick days, public holidays, class size, foreign teachers on staff, teaching materials
- The questions teachers ask in almost every interview. This listing does not answer them, so ask before you sign.
