# LucyESL

> A job board for English teachers in South Korea and the schools that hire them. Pay is shown wherever the employer stated it — "Not stated" is always explicit, never hidden. Employers that sign up here can be verified — one badge, meaning we checked their Korean business registration (사업자등록) and that the poster is an authorized contact, with the verification date shown — recruiters are always labeled, and E-2 / F-visa requirements are stated per role. Listings copied from other public boards are marked "Copied listing" and are never presented as verified.

LucyESL exists to remove the guesswork from teaching-job hunting in South Korea: employers are verified against one published standard (verification is never for sale), recruiters are allowed but always labeled (with a direct-hire-only filter), and every listing carries a "Lucy Job Quality Report" — a transparent facts table (effective pay per teaching hour with statutory-minimum-wage context, split shift, severance/pension/insurance disclosure, expiry dates) with no hidden score. Listings expire automatically. Teachers browse and apply for free; schools post directly to teachers.

- Location focus: South Korea (Seoul, Gyeonggi/Incheon, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, Gwangju, Ulsan, Sejong, Gangwon, Chungcheong, Jeolla, Gyeongsang, Jeju).
- Audience: English teachers worldwide (E-2 visa eligibility is typically for citizens of Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, and the US; F-series visa holders can also work).
- Supply today: most live listings are copied from public job boards. They are always marked "Copied listing" on the card and the listing page, LucyESL has not verified those employers. Since 2026-09-06 the Apply button on a copied listing goes through LucyESL: the applicant gets an application pack by email and a link to send the employer, rather than being redirected off-site. A link to the original posting is offered alongside it. An employer can claim a copied listing, after which it becomes first-party and any applications held for it are delivered. Directly-posted listings are the ones LucyESL verifies and relays applications for.
